Carbon steel units are
painted with blue enamel unless otherwise specified. Food grade white epoxy and hi
temperature inorganic carbon/zinc primer are optional interior unfinished.
Standard stainless steel
will be supplied with mill finish (only contact parts will be considered), welds are not
typically ground smooth, base plates and guards will be supplied in carbon steel. Base
plates will include a stainless steel liner and guards will be vented. Bearings, motors
and gear reducers will be supplied with factory finish to provide original warranty.
Sanitary style units will be
polished to 120 grit interior with glass bead blast exterior. All welds inside and outside
will be ground smooth, continuous, free of pits and crevices. Base plates and sealed guard
will be stainless steel spur gear guard will be oil tight for lubrication with fill and
drain plugs
All sanitary units will
include Teflon impregnated packing gland seals. Add packing gland with air purge for
powder, abrasive and moist applications.
All crushers will include a
230/460/3/60 TEFC 1800 rpm motor with a belt or chain drive- direct drives are available
with gear reduction for severe applications. All drives are mounted on the right side,
motors are mounted inward (left angle), unless otherwise specified.
All dual rotor crushers with
a mounted motor will include an oil box (oil dip for spur gears) on 10 hp motor and
larger. Double bearing support will be included as part of this package (2 bearings drive
side, 4 bearings non-drive side).
Dual rotor crushers require
a breaker bar or screen.
Infeed hoppers with safety
baffles are optional.
Support stands are optional.
When stainless is specified, the base plate will also be stainless steel.
Starters are optional-
panels are offered in type 12, 4, and 9 enclosures and are shipped loose.
On powder applications,
venting and/or dust collection should be considered.
